June 14, 2024: Finishing up Artbooks

Coming soon-ish!

Hey gang!

This week, I wanted to wrap up work on the Issue #1 Artbooks that so many of you preordered. I had a lot of fun making these and showing off some of the concepts I developed for the series, as well as some art for things yet to come! The whole project should be wrapped and off to the presses by this weekend, and I couldn’t be more excited!

Next week, I start page work on Varulv #3, officially. Really excited to be getting to this part in the story – a lot of action, a lot of drama, and none of it will really be slowing down until the first volume is complete at the end of issue #4. Can’t wait to show you!

As a reminder, I’ll be at Hershey Comic Con, June 29th and 30th, so if you’re in the area and in the mood for a comic convention, stop on by!

June 7, 2024: Comicon Wrap-Up

I’m back from 3 Rivers Comicon!

Hey gang!

Had a great weekend in Pittsburgh last week. If I got to meet you, I want to thank you personally for coming out to say hello! Especially if you braved everything else that was going on in the city and came out on Saturday. What a wild time (with no parking!)

Not a lot to update other than the fact that we went, hung out, had a blast, and came home. I wanted to get the issue 3 cover around this week, but time was not on my side, and I got busy with a couple of other projects. Not that I’m complaining — I realize the only deadline here is the one I make for myself, and it’s good to have my freelancing really taking off!

That said, I am currently formatting pages to get Issue 2 to the printers, as well as doing final touches on the art and layout of the Artbook! I expect to have that completed by next week, in fact. Can’t wait to get these here so I can start drawing all over them.

And that’ll be it for now, guys! More next week as things start to get a little more update-worthy. As usual, look for some art on Tuesday, June 11th! I’ll see you guys, then!

Heading to Pittsburgh for the Weekend

Hey all!

Sorry for the lack of updates, yesterday – things were a little nuts. I wanted you all to know that I’m currently heading out the door to go to Pittsburgh for the weekend. I’ll be at 3 Rivers Comicon today, June 1st, and tomorrow, June 2nd! If you’re around, come out and say hello! I’ll have a few copies of Varulv #1, as well as prints, keychains, stickers and more!

And — I wanted to thank all of you who bought Art Books this month! I sold a bunch of them and will be getting the final files around for the printer (and digital editions) this coming week! I’m excited to get these into your hands as usual. Thanks for making the printing of another limited run of books such a success!

Next week, I should have a preliminary look at some pages in the works for Varulv issue 3, as well as the finished rendition of the cover! Also, look forward to another Werewolf Wednesday on a Tuesday, June 4th!

May 24, 2024: Book 2, Chapter 8

The Final pages of Issue #2, 22-24 are Posted!

Hey everyone!

Exciting news — with this update, we’ve reached the end of the second issue of Varulv! This also puts us at the halfway point of the first volume, over all. There’s a lot going on in these last three pages, so don’t waste another minute NOT checking them out!

I’m really excited to have gotten the series to this point, but there are other things I have to talk about. First and foremost — when will the series resume?

Just like last time, I’m going to take a month to get ahead of a few updates and do other things, before starting into issue #3. Don’t despair, though! During that time, you can continue to look forward to weekly Friday updates on progress, new merch and Tuesday sketches! That said, expect an update on availability of print editions of Issue #2, before the end of June! Varulv will continue with issue #3 in July!

I also want to remind you guys that I plan on keeping Artbooks available for another week! We’ve had another stellar response to this pre-order, and I couldn’t be more grateful to you guys for making it such a success! Check it out here if you haven’t already gotten a chance to reserve yours!

I’ll also be in Pittsburgh for 3 Rivers Comicon, June 1-2. Come out and say hi! I’ll have prints, original sketches, and more for sale, too!
